Christmas is coming, and that means gifts for the teachers will soon be required. This year I have decided to make bookmarks for the teachers so here's what I did.
Materials:
Clearly Impressed - Vintage Labels
Wonderful Words Inspiration Clear Stickers
Double sided card/paper
Jump rings
Inks
Shrink Plastic
CREATING A CORNER BOOKMARK
Step 1: take a piece of cardstock 8 by 3 inches and put an eyelet on the edge around the middle of the piece
Step 2: turn the piece over and fold the edge down as shown in the picture so that the edges are 90 degrees.
Step 3: fold the other side in as well to create a triangle shape
Step 4: trim of the excess across the bottom
Step 5: cut out 2 co-ordinating pieces of card into triangle shapes to fit just inside the triangle.
Step 6: ink the edges of those coordinating pieces and add some stamps and or words.
Step 7: adhere those triangles to the base of the book mark.
Step 8: add some jump rings to the eyelet - you can make it just slide through the join on the back of the bookmark.
Step 9: Stamp some images onto shrink plastic and punch a hole in them, using the heat gun shrink the pieces and flatten them using an acrylic stamping block while still warm.
Step 10: Add some jump rings to the shrunken charms and fix them to the eyelet on the book mark.
Thanks for the great ideas Tania.
We'd love to see what your bookmarks look like. Just leave us a comment with a link to your pictures!

We welcome our first Guest Artist, Tania Davey.
I asked Tania for a bit of juicy information on herself and this is what she said:
I live in the foothills of Perth, Western Australia. I have 4 children, a stepson, and a supportive partner. I have been scrapping since 2003 and for me stamping just goes hand in hand with scrapping, and although it started as a way of preserving my photos, it has become so much more!
I love the ‘me’ time, the time creating, and the fulfillment and accomplishment that comes with every piece. And as an added bonus I’m preserving those memories for myself and my kids, and for generations to come.
I love to create just for creation sake, ATC’s, canvases, and other off the page items. Its sometimes just good to create without the photos and memories.
I am excited to be the first Guest Artist for The Stamping Queen, and hope you enjoy my creations this month.
Thanks for that Tania!!
Now in the brief amount of time that Tania's had this week you'll just love what she has created!
Here is my 1st project.
I have used several of the 97% Complete™ Tags: Pockets to create a Mini flip album of our time in Malacca , Malaysia.
I added some basic manila tags, and some 7 gypsies paper, and colour them with Tim Holtz Distress inks and water.
I then added parts of the Clearly Impressed - Vintage Labels stamps with a black ink.
I then added photos, some of which I attached to the Chipboard Bookplates & Plaques before attaching them to the Tags.
I finished of the tags with some coloured cord, and some glass beads.
To join the pockets together I punched holes and bound them with a ring.
I had heaps of fun creating this mini flip book , I may even add to it with more holiday snaps and journaling, before it all slips away from my memory!
I love this album and what the tags look like after a bit of Tania-magic.
Stay tuned to see what Tania does next!
